Fragments of language

Fragments of Language is a wall composition made of forms sculpted from different species of wood. Long, slender, curved, or nearly enclosed, they evoke the signs of an imaginary writing system. Each fragment is shaped individually before finding its place among the others. The spaces between them become pauses, contributing to the rhythm of the composition. Somewhere between sculpture and writing, Fragments of Language suggests a language without words, where wood, form, and silence each have something to say.
