Lost Signal

Lost Signal explores the fragile connection between the visible and the invisible, and the unsettling feeling of becoming disconnected from the world around us. The work evokes a signal that is fading, interrupted, or struggling to break through. Under ordinary light, fragments of the composition remain restrained and partially concealed. Under UV light, another reality emerges: vivid forms and luminous details appear, revealing what was hidden beneath the surface. Lost Signal speaks to the experience of trying to communicate something that cannot always be seen or understood. It reflects the invisible barriers that can isolate us, the moments when our inner reality becomes difficult to translate to others, and the persistence of a voice that continues to search for a connection. Through the transformation between ordinary and UV light, the painting invites the viewer to look beyond what is immediately visible — and to consider how much of our reality may exist just outside the range of perception.
