The Forest Witches

*The Witches of the Forest* explores memory, sisterhood, and freedom through a group of female figures who are both mysterious and powerful. These figures become the symbolic guardians of women who have been silenced, marginalized, or confined to specific roles. The crossed-out mouths, crosses, signs, and symbols woven into the fabric evoke the tension between imposed silence and the desire for emancipation. Deeply connected to nature and intuition, these witches do not represent darkness, but rather a wild and free force. They embody resistance, healing, rebellion, and that part of us that refuses to disappear. Through mixed media, layering, textures, and contrasts of greens, blacks, and vibrant colors, the work creates an almost ritualistic space where memory, instinct, and the imagination converge. *The Witches of the Forest* is ultimately a tribute to collective strength and to all those voices that, even when silenced, continue to exist. The soul cannot be imprisoned.
