Bogotá, Maelström B

Bogota B is part of the Silentium series and is one of two panels in a diptych, with each canvas forming part of a cohesive whole. Against a deep black background, thick white lines trace spirals, volutes, and organic forms reminiscent of pre-Columbian motifs and rock art. The dense, rhythmic composition creates a tension between order and proliferation, between measured gesture and free-flowing momentum. This 30 × 40-inch piece, painted in acrylic on a gallery-wrapped canvas, gives the work a strong physical presence.
