The Boy with the Soap Bubble

This painting, created in 2024, is one of the first chiaroscuro works in my artistic practice. It depicts a young man wearing a hybrid outfit that blends 17th-century fashion styles with modern accents inspired by Adidas. This anachronism echoes classical representations of subjects from art history. This work falls within the genre of allegory, which consists of the concrete and visible representation of an abstract idea. Here, it is an allegory of time, embodied by the soap bubble: a fragile sphere that can burst at any moment, reminding us of the precariousness of fate along each individual’s life path.
