This drawing, created in 2024, is part of a series of preparatory studies for a work titled *The Temptation of Saint Anthony*. It depicts one of the seven deadly sins that came to tempt Anthony, but the subject has been transposed to our time to create a deliberate anachronism. Here, pride is embodied by an anthropomorphic lion wearing a suit and tie. The choice of the lion references the traditional symbolism of this sin, while the suit and tie evoke the pride associated with professional achievement. Comes in a white 16 x 20 in.
