In *Satellite View*, the canvas becomes a territory, the surface of an ancient world. A map of a land no one has yet set foot on. Burnt ochres, deep golds, and cratered browns stretch out like a mineral desert seen from orbit. The cracked paint forms a network of natural faults, a frozen tectonic landscape—the geological memory of a planet that has endured cataclysms and bears its scars with quiet dignity. Veins of gold run through the cracks like molten metal that cooled too quickly. Splashes of copper and bright orange mark areas of heat—volcanic sources, impact sites, places where the crust has given way under pressure that has built up over too long a time. In the center and at the bottom, two spheres of epoxy resin are embedded in the surface like portholes—windows onto something else, or the eyes of a world observing the one who observes it.
