I SEE YOU

In *I See You*, a single eye occupies the center of the canvas with a presence that demands no permission. Its iris is blood-red, embers-red—the red of things burning from within. The pupil is a black abyss strewn with stars, an entire cosmos housed behind the gaze. This eye does not look. It knows. All around, the paint explodes into organic splashes—scarlet reds, burnt golds, and dark greens. It is as if the canvas itself were alive, as if the gaze were emerging from a forest ablaze, from plant-like flesh that grows and bleeds simultaneously. Luminous white dots punctuate the chaos like stars or frozen tears, tiny presences in an overflowing universe. The eyelashes are soft claws.
