Zek is a veteran. Thirty years of presence on the walls of Montreal and around the world, a technique all his own, and a consistency in quality that commands respect. Co-founder of ASHOP Productions with Fluke in 2009, he is one of the most enduring and influential figures in Montreal's urban art scene, a pillar who has helped propel the local scene to the legendary walls of Wynwood in Miami.
Zek, whose practice is connected with montreal, develops a visual world that can be followed from one wall to another. Captions and archives connected to this body of work document several mural interventions. These points of reference place the image within a practice rather than treating it as an isolated visual.
