“Geometry does not confine motion; it traces a path.”

Yanick Cyr is a Montreal-based UX/UI designer, graphic designer, and queer visual artist originally from the Saguenay region. Trained in graphic design, 2D/3D animation, and UX/UI, she continues her studies in acrylic painting at UQAM while exploring the bridges between art, technology, and human experience. With more than twenty years of experience as an agency art director, she has developed a practice where functional rigor meets creative freedom. Her approach to design, grounded in the search for balance between structure and emotion, directly shapes her pictorial language: geometric compositions, bold color, and relief work. Committed to the LGBTQ+ community, she embraces an inclusive and plural practice, nourished by influences such as Keith Haring, Frank Stella, the Bauhaus, Salvador Dalí, and Alexander Calder. Whether an interface, a visual identity, or a painting, her work seeks to reveal the fragile harmony between form, meaning, and humanity.
