“Observe, capture, translate into color.”

Painter · Montréal, Canada
I paint what I see and what I feel. My work revolves around two universes. The first is urban: I like to observe and reproduce, in a colorful way, the everyday life that surrounds me. Passionate about photography and Montreal, I cycle around the city and translate its moods using watercolor, gouache or markers. Perspective, light and color are at the heart of my research. The second is masculine and queer: I draw men and scenes that evoke my own experiences. I use oil paint, gouache or watercolor to explore the sensuality, tenderness and presence of bodies. As a fan of comic books, I retain a graphic influence that runs through my compositions. Curious about matter and texture, I also experiment with dry pastels for my landscapes and urban scenes.
