THE APPROACH

Marie-Ève Mercier is a Montreal-based artist, mother, and trained architect with a passion for creativity in all its forms. Her artistic journey gained momentum during her maternity leave, a transformative period that allowed her to reconnect with painting and fully explore her creative potential. Inspired by the colorful and imaginative world of her son, Laurier, as well as the animals that surround her, she creates works imbued with warmth and sensitivity. Her animal portraits are distinguished by their vibrant colors and their ability to capture the unique personality of each subject. Through her artwork, Marie-Ève seeks to celebrate the connections that unite us with animals, family, and everyday memories, while bringing joy, color, and a touch of poetry into the spaces her paintings inhabit.
