Born in Montreal, Marie Rioux lived much of her life in Quebec City before returning to settle in her hometown. There, she also pursued her studies in visual arts, a journey taken in stages and marked by encounters with numerous artists from diverse backgrounds. This diversity of influences has long underpinned her artistic practice.
