I've been a freelance illustrator, painter and cartoonist for some twenty years. I'm versatile: I've done portraits, caricatures, acrylic and oil paintings; I've worked with watercolors, colored and India inks, pastels, but I've mainly concentrated on children's illustration and comics. Early in my career, I worked as a street artist, drawing pastel chalk reproductions of famous painters such as da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo on the sidewalks of Ottawa's Byward Market. My paintings and illustrations are often in a humorous, cartoonish style, but I sometimes like to vary and paint in a more surreal, Dalí-influenced style.
