Florence Huot
Gatineau, Canada
•
2004
Working primarily in acrylic, Florence creates striking and immersive visual worlds populated by strange creatures and fragments of an imaginary cosmos. Her work blends elements of horror with striking, electric color palettes, deliberately using unease as a gateway to deep engagement. Rather than existing as isolated works, each painting is part of a coherent and ever-expanding inner universe. Through tactile textures and dynamic compositions that are both unsettling and vibrant, Florence invites viewers to look beyond the surface and enter a visual myth that continues to unfold....
