Cast into Glass
Glass, its colors, its transparency are highlighted. Stained glass being one of the materials used by the artist ESI, this series is a love letter to this material, to its shards.
Patched
This series of collages on handmade paper, composed of oil pastel, watercolor, and acrylic, does not seek to cover the entire space with a single hue but rather highlights the uniqueness of each handmade St-Armand paper sheet with textile fibers.
The Figures
The series of playing card figures was inspired by a similar collection by Dali seen in 2018. For the artist, the cards have a flavor of nostalgia, a taste of familiarity that recalls childhood evenings in a large family in Trois-Rivières. The collection began with the design of a stencil that was transferred to the entire series with a thin acrylic film. The characters were then rendered to differentiate the faces and clothing, all while preserving the original shape.
