In the ordinary lies the extraordinary.

Carlos Salamanca, a Montreal-based Peruvian artist, creates paintings in a variety of media, including gouache, oil, acrylic and digital. He specializes in plein-air painting, capturing the beauty of his surroundings in real time. Through his art, Salamanca explores recurring themes in his life, inspired by his experiences and the magic of capturing life directly. In 2017, he moved to Montreal, Canada. In 2022, he founded the Montreal painting group MTL Plein Air Painters. For 2 years, he brought artists together every weekend.
