“I despise the masses as much as I admire them, for without them I would have nothing to say.”

Painter · Montréal, Canada
Camille Colobert scours the streets of Montreal in search of supports for her paintings, from abandoned drawer bottoms to large reclaimed wooden panels, letting the city inspire works that adapt to her changing formats. Oil paint is her preferred language for expressing the human condition, its inner struggles and the contrasts between light and shadow, beauty and ugliness, which she seeks to translate into color.
